Sourdough Discard Snackers
Invented by my friend Joe, with a few tweaks below.
- 1 cup starter discard
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- dash salt
- vegetable oil
- fresh herbs, or raid the spice cabinet (my favorites: everything bagel seasoning and caraway seeds)
Mix starter, baking powder, salt together. Add water as needed to get the consistency of the mixture to that of a pancake batter. Warm oil in a pan over medium heat. Pour mixture into 2″ rounds. As the edges begin to firm up, sprinkle each round with your seasoning. Flip. Remove when browned.
